1. Definitions

In these Terms & Conditions, the following terms have the meanings set out below:

  • "We / Us / Our" means Pivotwell, the watch repair and restoration workshop at 89 Mittraphap Road, Nai Muang, Khon Kaen 40000, Thailand.
  • "You / Client" means any person who visits our website, contacts us, or brings a watch to the workshop for assessment or service.
  • "Services" means the watch repair, regulation, and restoration work we offer, as described on our website.
  • "Work Order" means the written or verbal agreement to carry out a specific service on a specific watch, agreed between you and us before work begins.
  • "Website" means the website accessible at pivotwell.live.
  • "Agreement" means these Terms & Conditions together with any Work Order.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using our website or engaging our services, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions. You must be at least 18 years old, or have the permission of a parent or guardian, to engage our services. If you are acting on behalf of another person or a business, you confirm that you have the authority to bind them to these terms.

If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the website or engage our services.

3. Service Description

Pivotwell provides watch repair, regulation, and restoration services at our workshop in Khon Kaen, Thailand. Our current services are:

  • Quick Tune — regulation, lubrication, and accuracy check for watches running slightly fast or slow.
  • Crown & Gasket Renewal — replacement of crowns, tubes, and seals to restore case integrity.
  • Complete Restoration — full movement servicing, case refinishing, and component renewal for older or worn watches.

Services are available to clients who can bring their watch to the workshop in person or arrange delivery by agreement. We do not currently offer postal intake as a standard service.

4. Client Responsibilities

When using our website or services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate information about yourself and the watch when making an enquiry or leaving a watch for service.
  • Confirm or decline the Work Order before any service begins. We will not start work without your agreement.
  • Collect the watch within a reasonable time after you are notified that work is complete. Watches left uncollected for more than 90 days after notification may be subject to a storage charge or other measures, which we will discuss with you in advance.
  • Ensure the watch belongs to you, or that you have the right to authorise work on it.
  • Use the website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm or interfere with the site or other users.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, layout, and code — belongs to Pivotwell or is used with permission. You may not reproduce, copy, or distribute any part of the website without our written consent.

The watches and components you bring to us remain your property throughout the service process. We do not claim any ownership over items in our care.

6. Pricing & Payment

All prices are stated in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of labour. Component costs are itemised separately in the Work Order where applicable. Prices displayed on the website are indicative starting figures; the exact cost for your watch is confirmed in the Work Order before work begins.

Payment is due on collection of the watch. We accept cash and bank transfer. If a watch is not collected and payment is not made within 30 days of completion, we reserve the right to discuss alternative arrangements with you.

If a job requires additional work beyond what was agreed in the Work Order, we will contact you to discuss and confirm before proceeding. You are under no obligation to approve additional work.

7. Service Terms

The following conditions apply to all work carried out at the workshop:

  • A written Work Order is agreed before any service begins. This includes the scope of work, estimated cost, and estimated completion time.
  • Timeframes are estimates. Certain jobs, particularly Complete Restorations involving sourced components, may take longer than initially indicated. We will keep you informed of any delays.
  • We take reasonable care of all watches in our possession. However, we are not responsible for pre-existing faults, damage, or defects that are present when a watch is brought in, including those not immediately visible on initial inspection.
  • If, during a service, we identify a fault not covered by the Work Order, we will notify you and discuss options before taking further action.
  • We do not offer a set warranty period on completed work, as the longevity of a repair depends on factors including the age and condition of the watch. If you experience a problem related to work we carried out within a reasonable period of completion, please contact us and we will assess the matter fairly.

8. Disclaimers

Our website is provided for informational purposes. While we aim to keep information accurate and up to date, we make no representation that it is complete or current at any given time.

We do not make any representation about the outcome of a specific repair. Each watch is different; the condition and behaviour of a watch after servicing depends on its age, history, and components. We will explain what we can and cannot achieve for your particular piece before any work begins.

The website may contain links to third-party sites. We are not responsible for the content of those sites.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service or use of the website is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including sentimental loss, loss of use, or loss of income arising from a watch being out of service. This does not limit our liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence.

We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control, including supply delays, power outages, or other circumstances that prevent or delay completion of a service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Pivotwell against any claims, costs, or losses arising from your breach of these terms, including any false representations about ownership of a watch submitted for service.

11. Termination

You may cancel a Work Order before work has begun by contacting us. If work is already in progress, we will discuss the situation with you and agree a fair approach, which may include a charge for work carried out to that point.

We reserve the right to decline a job or return a watch without beginning work, in which case no charge will be made.

12. Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand. If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve the matter informally. Most issues can be resolved through straightforward conversation.

If an informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Khon Kaen Province, Thailand.

13. General Provisions

These Terms & Conditions, together with any applicable Work Order, form the entire agreement between you and Pivotwell for the relevant service.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder continues in full effect. Our failure to enforce any provision at any time does not waive our right to enforce it in the future. These terms may not be assigned by you without our written consent.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when they were last revised. Continued use of the website or our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
